That SUV is epic!
Sep02
Hello penguins, poptropicans, and mice! Looks like Hades made a new post about that SUV again! Yesterday you saw an overhead post shot of a vehicle from a new Poptropica island. We’ve managed to get in a little closer to show you a more detailed picture. Looks like fans of Poptropica have some off-roading in their future! But… what will you find off the beaten path? That’s it for this post, I can’t wait until I ride that SUV in the new Poptropica island! Clubpenguin4607~
New post, but too many glitches!
Aug31
Hello penguins, poptropicans, and mice! Yes, I made a post about the new robot bodies from the Poptropica Creators blog, but guess what, THE PICTURES WON’T FIT ON THE POST. What’s a good post without some good pictures? Just to show it, here’s one of the pictures of the robots. Yay for Pilotbots! Ahem, anyways, yes I made a post, but if I fit all the pictures in the post, THE WHOLE SITE WOULD BE MESSED UP. So, sorry, but I can’t post the new post the Poptropica Creators made. Clubpenguin4607~

Poptropica Steam Robot Costume
Aug30
There’s a new costume available in the Poptropica Store to help celebrate the release of the newest island in Poptropica, Steamworks Island. The new costume is called the Steam Robot, and it’s a great little robot outfit, complete with helmet and steam-powered backpack. You can get it in the store for credits or for free with your Poptropica membership. Here’s a look at the item card for the costume. The caption reads, “Domo arigato” which is a reference to the old Mr. Roboto song from Styx. The Steam Robot costume in Poptropica.
Yay for random introducing!(And other stuff)

Hello penguins, poptropicans, and mice! Err, that’s a weird tittle, hmm, anyways, yes, this site has started yesterday so remember the link to it. And yes I had a site before, it was growing very well too. Unfortunately, I deleted the site due to being lazy. (Lol ) BUT, this time, I will be honest, but not guarenteed, that I will post more often. However, school is coming soon so posting may be slow. (Wow, August 29 was a really bad time to start a site ._.)Yes, I added a few pages and other stuff on the site, but that’s just the start. I am adding categories and tags on my posts so that it can get more hits. If you want to be an author just ask me. Now, with that all cleared I am introducing 2 new games that I will post about! Huzzah! They are: Poptropica And Transformice I will be posting about them as well as Club Penguin. These games have few updates, so they will be minor. I may also add ROBLOX, but I’m not sure. Until then see you later! Clubpenguin4607~ RANDOM INTRODUCING P.S. Yes, this counts as an advertisement.
Sour Grapes
Aug30
This post revolves around an Aesop’s fable called The Fox and the Grapes. Have you heard it? Well, if not, it goes something like this: A fox is taking a nice summer stroll when he gets very hungry and thirsty. Searching for food, he comes across a juicy-looking bunch of grapes hanging from a branch over his head. “Well, those will be just the thing,” says the fox happily, and he leaps up to grab hold of the grapes. He can’t reach them. He tries and tries, but those grapes keep hanging temptingly just out of his reach. “Oh, well,” the fox grumbles. “They’re probably sour anyway.” The moral of the story is, of course, that grapes don’t make good snacks. No, seriously, it’s that if we can’t get something, we’ll try to comfort ourselves by saying that it wasn’t worth it anyway. Doing this is called “sour grapes” or “getting sour grapes.” We all get sour grapes sometimes. Admit it. I’ll share a couple sour grape tales, and you can, too. Sour Grapes #1: Poptropica This took place a year or so ago, when I was really into the online game Poptropica . I was playing often (maybe too often), and really enjoying myself. Then, one day, I logged on only to find that somehow, I’d lost more than half of my game. Maybe I had just forgotten to save before shutting down the computer, but at the time, I believed that it had been deleted by malicious hackers. I was distraught, but after a few hours, I said to myself, “Allegra, it’s okay. Poptropica is just babyish, no fun at all. You’ll be better off just working on your blog.” See the similarity? Note: I’m now a happy Poptropican again, but I’ve learned to play in moderation and take more care with my game. Sour Grapes #2: The Plastic Wand This tale took place last year around Christmastime, and is less sour grape-ish, but still deserves mention. Knowing I am quite the Potterhead, my parents got me a toy Harry Potter wand for a Christmas stocking stuffer. Not the fancy kind with the light-up tip, but a plastic one that came in four pieces that had to be screwed together; it came as part of a mini-kit.Too tempted by my geekdom and the lure of being childish again, I put it together immediately and waved it absent-mindedly as present opening continued. (No, it didn’t fire off a spell, unfortunately.) Apparently I was a bit too vigorous, because it soon snapped, not at the point where you screw the pieces together, but elsewhere. R.I.P. Cheesy Harry Potter Wand We tried glueing it back together, but that looked very cheesy and didn’t hold. I chided myself for carelessness and not just putting it on display like I had planned, but also thought, Well, these things are a dime a dozen, I’m sure. Who cares?, though I was overjoyed at first to receive it.
Island with a Mansion
Aug26
The Poptropica Creators have started to show some really early concept sketches of the newest upcoming island. Of course there’s no name yet, but we know it will include a mansion. And that’s really all they’ve told us so far. Since we’re only seeing really early sketches, this new island is probably still quite a ways off. In the meantime, the countdown for the public release of Steamworks Island continues. It will be available for everyone to play on September 9. What do you think of the sketches of the mansion? It looks very fancy! P.S. We moved PoptropicaSecrets.com to a brand new server tonight. Please post a comment or visit the Contact page to let us know if you see anything that’s not working right. Thanks!

Steamworks Island walkthrough
Aug22
Main Street Walk over to the Clockwork Cantina and complete the gear puzzle. Place the two brown gears on the ends and the three blue gears go in the middle. Turn the crank when they’re all in place. Now pick up the Multi-Tool that just appeared on the ground. Now walk to the right and you’ll see a garbage bin. Jump up on it to get the Steam Battery . Walk to the right again and go inside the Museum. Run to the right and you’ll see a big yellow machine. Click on the blue lever to raise the arm. Then jump up on the platforms and make your way to the upper-right corner. Watch out for the darker platforms which will crumble and fall when you step on them. Grab the dirty beaker out of the display case in top right. Then exit the museum. Go back to the Clockwork Cantina. Jump up and click on the blue lever here. A mechanical ramp will extend. Run up it and then jump onto the steam chutes to fly up and over the tower. You should land on top of a glass dome. Use your multi-tool to open it and then go down inside. You’re now inside the Mayor’s office. Check out the painting and the note on the typewriter, which give you an important number to remember for later: 0516 . Leave the office, jump back down to the street and run to the left to enter the next zone. Gear Alley Pass by Sully’s shop and go to the blue building in the middle. This is the living quarters. Jump up the platforms on the left side and then run past the door. You’ll see a robot crab here. Jump up and land on top of him to make him bounce and flip over. When he does, he’ll drop Sully’s key . Pick up both the key and the robot crab. Drop down to the street and go to the next building on the left. Jump up on to the steam chute and leap up to the roof. You’ll find an old vine here. Pick it up to place it in your backpack. Run to the right until you get in front of Sully’s Steam Powered Paraphernalia store. There’s a Steam Terminal here. Use the steam battery in your backpack. You’ll get a puzzle here where you have to regulate the steam pressure in the terminal. The starting pressure is 10 and the ending pressure needs to be 5. You need to adjust the valves so that the pressure will lose five points as it travels to the end. Sully’s Shop Once you get inside Sully’s you’ll find a robot in the right corner. It’s Sprocket ! Ring the bell on the desk next to him to wake him up. Then go pick up the rubber mallet from the junk box in the left corner. Leave Sully’s and Sprocket will follow you. If you click on him you can ask him some questions. He’s not very talkative right now but you’ll hear a lot more from him later. Head to the right to return to Main Street. Run all the way to the right side and then proceed onto the next zone, known as the Hub. The Hub When you arrive in the Hub, run along the ramp until you get to a metal hatch that is glowing red-hot. If you try to click it, you’ll see it’s much too hot to touch. Walk up to it and use the robot crab in your backpack. Sprocket the robot will take it from you and then drop the poor crab on top of the hatch. The water from the robot will cool down the hatch so that you can open it up. Go down the hatch. When you get to the bottom of the ladder, Sprocket will look pretty scared. Make your way down the pipes until you run into a plant monster living inside them. Use the old vine from your backpack underneath the sign that says, Caution: Hot Steam . This will spray steam onto the plant monster and kill it. Move along to the bottom left of the room and you’ll find the bottom of an elevator. Click on the round hatch above. Now you’ll need to solve three levels of a ball tilt maze game that’s a lot like the classic wooden box Labyrinth game . Spin the wheel either clockwise or counter-clockwise with your cursor to get the ball to the center. After you complete all three levels, the elevator will power up. Go back up out of this area to the street. Go a few steps to the right and jump up onto the spring. After three jumps, you should land up next to another blue lever. Click the lever and the giant Hub wheel will start to move. Go back down onto the street and run to the left. Jump up and grab the vines and climb up to a platform . Wait for the moving platform on the Hub wheel to come around and then jump onto it. Then jump off in the upper right corner (aim for the yellow pipe). Walk to the right and use the steam valve to jump up and to the left. Continue moving until you get to the elevator entrance to the Captain’s Cabin. Then go inside. A soon as you enter, Sprocket will be captured by some plant vines. Go down and click on the metal window shutters to snap the vines and free him. When you do, he’ll speak to you for the first time and say, “Thank you.” Now you can talk to him and ask him questions and hear his story. Run to the right and use the moving platforms to get up to the large painting. It’s a copy of the painting you saw in the mayor’s office. Click on the dial at the bottom of the picture. This is a combination lock. The combination is the number from the mayor’s office: 0516. Starting with the innermost ring, click on each triangle to get the wheel to spin. Then click on it again when it’s pointing to the right number. The rings get faster so this can be tricky. When you get the combination right, a secret door will open. Go inside and you’ll be in Captain Ziggs’ room. Go to the left and pick up the bridge key (on the floor) and the Weed Whacker (up on the wall). Then leave the room. Go down and to the right and jump off the patio to return to the Hub zone. Go right until you get to the Steam Terminal at the end. Use the steam battery and then solve the puzzle. It’s just like the first one, but now you need to adjust the pressure from 10 to 16 (+6). Once you’re successful, the bridge will lower and you can run across. Production Zone Take a few steps to the right and jump on the spring to get to the platform above. There’s a control panel here with three red levers and a green button. Move all the levers to the down position and then press the green button. The giant wrecking ball will drop and hit the ground, creating a hole. Factory Jump down and go through the hole. Make your way down and to the right and you’ll enter a mechanical room. First, press the three red pressure pads on each side of the machine. Then you’ll need to press the two remaining pads (the ones on the machine) at the same time. Sprocket will offer to hold down one while you get the other. The machine will turn on and the moving platforms above will start turning. Use this to get up to the top of the room. There’s a lever on the left wall. Click it to get another platform to move up and down. Then jump up to the right and use the platforms and vines to get to a moving conveyer belt. Here you’ll need to avoid blobs that drop from a plant monster. Continue across the vines and soon you’ll find the Mech Steam Motor , one of two parts you’ll need to repair the Mech in Sully’s shop garage. Continue up on the vines and go up to the Greenhouse. Greenhouse Walk to the left and you’ll find an area for mixing Herbicide. Pay attention to the chart on the wall. Use the dirty beaker from your backpack and then fill it with three parts blue, two parts green and four parts red. When you’re done, you’ll have some Herbicide Mixture . Go to the right and then up to the platform above. Use the herbicide on the plant monster. It will shrink and disappear, revealing a maintenance closet. Go inside. There’s an old custodian robot here. He’s holding onto the Living Quarters Access Key . Take it from him and then he’ll wake up and the alarm system will go off. You can’t leave the way you came because the security system has a pressure hose that knocks you back. This is where I got stuck on this walkthrough. Special thanks to DR3 from the PoptropicaSecrets.com community who provided the next step. Go back out of the maintenance closet and then climb the vines above. Go to the left and you’ll see that the glass dome has some tiny white cracks here. Use the rubber mallet from your backpack to smash a hole in the dome and escape. Now run all the way back to Gear Alley, which is on the left of Main Street. Gear Alley Redux When you arrive, go to the bottom of the living quarters building (blue) and jump on the right platform of the lever on the gear. This will raise the one on the left. Take a few steps to the left, then jump up the platforms to arrive at the doorway to the living quarters. Use your steam battery on the terminal and then solve the steam valve puzzle again. This time, you need to adjust the steam by -3 to get it from 10 to 7. The door will open. Go inside. Living Quarters Go click on the blue lever on the left to make the platform rise. Use it to get up to the next level and continue making your way up. Jump on the blue button on the floor to make the ladder rise. You’ll need to quickly jump up the ladder because it falls back down a second or two later. When you get to the top left, there’s another door leading to Zack’s room. Go through it. Zack’s Room Go up to the top left corner and click on the wall to solve the next puzzle, which is a timed game where you have to get the steam to move safely from one corner to the other. You must click on the squares to reveal pipes underneath and then swap the pipes around to create a clear path. There are three levels to get through. Go outside and then cross over the vine that acts as a tightrope all the way to the left, where you’ll find the Mech Crank which is the second piece you need to repair the Mech in Sully’s Garage. Jump down to the street below and then go to Sully’s Garage. Sully’s Garage Use both the Mech Crank and the Steam Motor from your backpack on the Mech. It will be repaired and now you can walk around in the Mech. Is this the coolest thing ever in Poptropica or what? You’ll also get a teleporter device that you can use to instantly travel back to the Mech from anywhere you go on Steamworks. Walking in the Mech, head out of the garage and over to the left. There’s a big doorway covered by vines. Attach the weed whacker from your backpack to the Mech and then use the spacebar to smash all the vines. Go through the door when it’s clear. Storage Room Now you’re inside a storage area. Make your way through, using the space bar to smash plant monsters that attack. At one point, you’ll need to leave your Mech and power up one of the lifts. Then get back in the Mech and ride it up to the next platform. Continue through this zone, killing plant monsters as you go until you get to the final plant monster in the room and get rid of him. Go through the doorway to the next zone. Wind Zone Go down the ramp to the left and you’ll find a giant windmill. Walk all the way up to the blades and then Sprocket will offer to help. Exit the Mech and stand on the blades as they spin to ride almost to the top. Then jump onto the platform above. Use your multi-tool to stop the blades. Sprocket will open the door. Get back in the Mech and go through the doorway. Hibernation Center And now we finally learn the secret of what happened to all the inhabitants of Steamworks Island. First, exit the Mech and go to the machine. Use the multi-tool on it and the room will light up. Zack will emerge from hid hibernation chamber and he and Sprocket will be re-united. How sweet! The mayor will also appear and tell you the story of what happened. Then you’ll see and hear bumps from below. There’s still work to be done. Jump up to the platforms on the right and get the Toxic Blaster . Then get back in your Mech and attach it. Take the elevator down to the next zone. Tunnel System Move through the room and shoot down the attacking plants by aiming with the mouse and using the spacebar to fire. Kill all the plants. You want to end up on the platform just above the floor. If you miss it, you’ll need to stand on the bolt/screw thing and spin it to raise yourself up. There’s a moving platform here. Wait for it and then ride it across to the doorway and prepare for the final battle… Plant Hive You’re now in the final boss battle. There are three boss monsters to kill and to make things even tougher, acid starts to fill the room from below. If you touch the acid, you lose and have to start over. You only have a short time to defeat each boss monster. The basic technique for all three monsters is to get up close enough so that they try to strike you with their heads. It’s kind of like the Hydra from Mythology Island . When they do, you can shoot them, causing a splat. Each monster needs to be splatted three times and then it will disappear and you can move on. After you defeat the final plant monster, you’ll re-appear next to the mayor, who will present you with the island medallion. Congratulations! THANX POPTROPICA SECRETS!!!!

Enter the island from the Island Map (members had Early Access May 20, 2010) and climb down to Fort Ridley, one of a few small islands scattered about in the sea. For the first part of the island, you will collect items that lead to other items and clues. Travel down Main Street to the right and cross the covered bridge. On the far side, climb down into the stream and go left to get the Doubloon from the sand. Return left to Stinky Tim’s store, and use the doubloon to buy a bag of chicken feed. Also go to the upper right shelf to get the Broken Mirror. Give the feed to the boy with the chickens. He will give you a chicken. Head right again, across the bridge to the corn farm. Use the chicken to eat some of the bugs, and the farmer gives you a Blue Candle. Go far right. past the Governor’s house, to the sea edge and talk to the woman there whose husband is lost at sea. Enter the Governor’s house and use the Blue Candle to reveal the missing writing on the Parchment. The Governor will tell you about the Treasure Map and the need to defeat Captain Crawfish the pirate. Go back to the Fort and use the telescope at the top, where you will see a small raft. Signal the raft using the Broken Mirror, and it will dock. The beach woman’s husband is aboard the raft, and is grateful to be home. He gives you his ship, which is now crewed by a cabin boy and the old sailor from the fort. THE LONG SAILING AND TRADING PART OF THE GAME now begins, in the seas between the 5 outlying islands : Dragon Cove at the upper left, Bouffant Bay, Parrot Port, Golden Harbor, and Pirate Outpost. These are all indicated on the sailing map. Sail by lifting anchor (spacebar) and using the cursor to indicate direction and speed. Dock by dropping anchor and clicking the island dock. Each movement to an island is counted as a “day” in the quest, but there is no set speed of play. As the game progresses, you buy larger ships to hold more cargo, but the hazards increase somewhat as well. Find the Map Pieces : there is one on each of the five trading islands. Earning doubloons and cargo items : initially you “salvage” these from the water, and later you buy and sell them for a profit at any of the five ports. The prices for the cargo items vary from port to port, often allowing you to “buy low and sell high”. Hazards that can cost you cargo or damage the ship : Giant pink sea creatures such as a crab, octopus, or puffer fish. Whirlpools, thunderstorms, and rock shoals can cause damage. Pirate ships can attack, and you can duel them by firing any cannon you have. If you are damaged or sunk you lose some doubloons or cargo items. New Ships and Skilled Crewmen can improve your durability, speed, cargo capacity, and armament use. Buy new ships at Dragon Cove, and hire crew (relatively expensive) at each of the four ports except Parrot Port. Ships are expensive but have a small resale value. You can borrow more cash, equal to your current wealth, at the bank in Golden Harbor, and this must be repaid. The interest is only 5% per day, but compounded, so large balances should be paid off as quickly as possible without losing your working capital. If you have an overdue loan, you cannot buy a new ship. Sailing Hint — When sailing around rocks and salvage, drop anchor to pivot the ship. GETTING THE 5 PIECES OF THE TREASURE MAP Dragon Cove — go to the water’s edge with the old fisherman. Sink the floating statue to uncover a Mallet. Slide the fisherman right, past the giant Bell Gong to the first barrel. When you use the Mallet on the Gong, fish will jump from the water, allowing the old man to catch one, and he will give you the map piece. Bouffant Bay — You can help the worker at the dock and get a clue from his wife at the residence (far right). A pirate also tells you the map piece is at “312 Hanging Fern Way”, a reference to three hanging plants. At the plants, jump into the 3rd, then the 1st, then the 2nd plant to get the map piece. Parrot Port — There is a parrot flying around who leads you on a chase. First go to Petey’s Pirate Pub and get the Cracker from the upper left. Now the parrot will have you dive into the sea, then block the smoking chimney*, then find him at a palm tree at the far right. He tells you to contact his owner, a pirate atop the tower at far left. Once you have, you can use the Cracker to lure the parrot back to the tower, where you receive the map piece. (You may have to dunk yourself and block the chimney again to find the parrot.) Golden Harbor — There are 5 hanging street lights, and after lighting any of them , lighting another will turn others off. Counting from the left, you need the 1st, 2nd, and 4th lights on. The way to accomplish this is to light them from right to left : the 4th, then the 2nd, then the 1st in that order. Leaving the dock and returning will reset the lights. The piece appears in a draped archway. Pirate Outpost — Climb the giant skull cliff, jumping over the pirates to avoid being knocked back. At the top of the tall mast is a Cannon Starter kit to use on any of the 4 cannons, but only the one at lower left is important. On the way back down. push the small barrel of explosives from the mast into the water below. Position the barrel under the giant Golden Tooth of the stone skull. If you fire the cannon and hit the barrel, the blast shakes loose the Golden Tooth and reveals the map piece. Assembling all 5 pieces reveals a hidden island, called Skullduggery, at the lower center of the map. Near the game’s end, you will go there to find the Buried Treasure. DEALING AND TRADING — The best profits are made by sailing a clockwise course around the islands. Sell any salvage, and you may want to leave room for more you might pick up. Silk is bought cheaply at Dragon Cove (upper left), and sold at nearly double your cost at Bouffant Bay to the right. Medicine is bought cheaply at Bouffant Bay (upper middle) and sold at Parrot Port to the south. There is nothing cheap at Parrot Port. Grain is bought cheaply at Golden Harbor (lower right) and sold at Pirate Outpost to the left. Spices are bought cheaply at Pirate Outpost (lower left) and sold at Dragon Cove to the far north. NEW SHIPS AND CREW — Ships are bought from the dealer at Dragon Cove, each more expensive than the previous, requiring two or more trading runs to afford the next larger model. Take out a loan at Golden Harbor to help buy more cargo. Do NOT spend so much on a ship that you haven’t enough doubloons for a FULL cargo or two for your new ship size. That would make your trades much less profitable. Your raft — free but holds only 20 total cargo items, speed 6 Jimmy Rigger — 3000 doubloons, holds 60 cargo, speed 7, has 1 cannon Carabelle — 9000 doubloons, holds 200 cargo, speed 8, 1 cannon Sea Sultan — 30,000 doubloons, holds 600 cargo, speed 9, 2 cannon The Koi — 90,000 doubloons, holds 1800 cargo, speed 12, 3 cannon Steaming Fury — 300,000 doubloons, holds 5000 cargo, speed 12, 4 cannon Phoenix Warbird — 1,000,000 doubloons, holds 6000 cargo, speed 13, 5 cannon Crew positions : Shipwright (Dragon Cove) : 20,000 doubloons to hire, slowly fixes damage without docking Cargo Master (Bouffant Bay) : 15,000 doubloons, increases cargo space of any ship by 50% Navigator (Parrot Port) : 12,000 doubloons, increases ship speed Cannoneer (Pirate Outpost) : 20,000 doubloons, increases firing rate of your cannon BATTLING PIRATES (and eventually Captain Crawfish) Anytime you face damage from a hazard or attack, the green “health bar” appears on the travel view. One will also appear for enemy ships or creatures. Aiming and hitting enemy ships, especially those with more cannon, can be fun but a losing proposition. They are hard to hit because shots take awhile to arrive at the target. Oddly enough, this also lets you “outrun” or swerve to avoid cannon balls. Only when you have a larger ship than your opponent can you regularly succeed. Smaller ships will tend to “gang up” on you, as well. You can salvage items from any destroyed ships or sea creatures. If you are sunk, you lose part of your doubloons (10%) and cargo (10% to 13%) and start sailing again from your previous dock. WIN THE GAME — After from 25 to 100 days of trading, you will have acquired the most expensive ship, the Phoenix Warbird. This ship is a match for the dread Captain Crawfish. Sail to the Skullduggery sea to confront him. When he is apparently sunk, return to the Governor at Fort Ridley. You will receive a special card with the location of the Buried Treasure on Skullduggery Island, and a Bone Shovel to dig it up. When you finish, you are surprised by Captain Crawfish and his crew, who apparently survived the battle and are going to take the treasure from you. Fortunately, your valiant crew sails to your rescue, sinking the pirate ship and marooning Captain Crawfish. (He will never be seen again. Or will he??) Return the treasure to Fort Ridley and receive the Island Medallion! * Save Your Game Often! * Some users have lost a character and ship temporarily until rebooting the browser. Users have reported losing up to 45 days of playing time even with the browser open! Notes : 1) Having an overdue loan will prevent you from buying a new ship. 2) After initial release, a moving ash cover was added to the chimney of Petey’s Parrot Pub, so that you only need stand on it to block the smoke. This was likely a child safety concern. THANX TO: whoever did this on winki answers!!
