Poptropica Cheats for Steamworks Island

Jun30

The fourteenth island on Poptropica will be called Steamworks Island . The Poptropica Creators have dropped a few hints about the new island and the official name of the island was revealed on Friday, July 2. However, they did not reveal the launch dates for the early access or public release of the new island yet. As with many other island releases on Poptropica, the Creators have been posting some sneak peeks and screenshots on the official Poptropica Blog. So far, we don’t know too much about the new island, except that it will involve lots of machinery. There’s a rusty robot, some kind of giant plant monster and special tools that you’ll use in your inventory. What do you think? Does this new island look pretty cool? Will it be as big as Skullduggery Island or Astro-Knights Island? Or will it be a simpler one this time around? Jump in to the discussion and leave a comment! Here are a few screenshots from the island: Rusty Robot in Poptropica The multi-tool for Steamworks Island The Multi Tool is a collection of Gizmos that you’ll use on the new island. Poptropica Cheats for Steamship Island

OK, we don’t know for certain just yet that the fourteenth island will be called Steamship Island but it’s a pretty good guess. The Poptropica Creators have dropped a few hints about the new island and promised to reveal the official name of the island on Friday, July 2. We’ll probably also learn the launch dates, both the early access date for paid members and the public launch date for everyone else. As with many other island releases on Poptropica, the Creators have been posting some sneak peeks and screenshots on the official Poptropica Blog. Is the New Island Called Steamship Island?

Jun30

Yesterday the Poptropica Creators posted another sneak peek screenshot of the multi-tool. This time the picture was in color. But more on that later. The really interesting part is that the image filename is steamshipmultitool2.png . Many times, the Poptropica Creators include the island name in the filename of the screenshots, even before the island is released. So could this be the new name of the upcoming Poptropica Island? Steamship Island? We’ll have to wait until Friday to find out for certain, but this looks like it really could be the name. Now, about that multi-tool. Besides being a final color version of the sketch they provided before, we don’t learn much other than it will be one of a few inventory items that you use in this quest and that the “multi” in the name means it has lots of different uses, so you’re probably going to rely on it several times during the adventure.

New Island Sneak Peek

Jun29

The Poptropica Creators posted another screenshot for an upcoming island on the official Poptropica blog this week. They mention that in the new “mysterious mechanical” island we’ll need to use a few gadgets to get past tricky puzzles and wild, wacky monsters. The image name for this screenshot is multiTool.png, so it sounds like we’ll get a cool tool that we can use during the quest. The Creators also promised that they’ll reveal the name of the island this Friday after several more sneak peeks are revealed throughout the week. CoderKid over at the Poptropica Help Blog predicts the name is going to be Steamworks Island . That would be a pretty cool name. Unfortunately, CoderKid’s track record of name predictions isn’t perfect: he originally claimed that Skullduggery Island would be called Pirate Trade Island . We’ll have to wait and see this Friday what the name really turns out to be. The one thing we do know for sure is that the new island will have lots of gadgets, gizmos, and robots. And there will be more screenshots and sneak peeks posted over the next few days, so stay tuned!

Get Facial Hair in Poptropica

Jun26

Most Poptropica players know that when you use the costumizer feature on Poptropicans that you encounter, you usually cannot copy their facial hair, like beards and moustaches. Recently, Poptropica released a special Pirate costume for members that allowed boy characters to have a pirate beard. And now some players have discovered a fun little cheat on how anyone can get one of the facial hair options from a particular Poptropican. Thank you to everyone who wrote in about this trick in the comments! First of all, this only works for boy characters in Poptropica. Of course, if you’ve got a girl character, you probably wouldn’t want facial hair anyway, unless you were going for the Bearded Lady circus look. The first thing to do is to get the Dr. Hare’s Secret Lab card from the Poptropica Store if you don’t have it already (it’s a free item). Next, go to the Secret Lab and enter. Drop down to the lower right and enter the orange door to do the challenge. Then go right and jump on the platform. Jump off to the left and hide behind the box of carrots. Hide behind the box of carrots and wait for the guy above to appear. Then costumize him! One of Dr. Hare’s minions will walk on the platform up above you. Click on the costumizer icon on the toolbar and then click on him. Because he’s moving, it might be hard to click on him, but try it a few times if you have difficulty. Once you costumize him, you can copy the pointy beard that he has. Aha! I’ve got your beard now, rabbit man! And as I mentioned before, this trick only works for boy characters in Poptropica. Girls cannot costumize the pointy beard.

This is just the beginning

Poptropica Despicable Me Ad Walkthrough

Jun25

There’s another new advertisement building in Poptropica. It looks like it’s available for both boys and girls and I’m not sure if there’s an age requirement like there was for the Percy Jackson one. This ad is for the theatrical release of the Steve Carrell movie, Despicable Me . In this upcoming animated movie, the character Gru tries to steal the moon! In this advertisement mission, you’ll have a much simpler set of tasks to do. This mission is a little bit longer than most and has two parts. In the first part, you need to collect ten missiles before time runs out. In the second part, you try to destroy an enemy plane with the missiles. If you win, you get some very cool prizes as a reward. Video Walkthrough Check out the full video walkthrough for all the cheats and secrets of how to beat this quest. The prizes at the end are a shrink ray gun and a minion costume. The shrink ray gun is very cool. Point it at any Poptropican and press the spacebar to shrink them down to miniature size! Go inside the advertisement building, which you’ll find on most island Main Street areas. Talk to the people inside, and then walk into the large blue device which is called the Minion Ray. You’ll arrive in the lab. Walk to the right towards the big ray gun and then you’ll see a message from Gru. He wants you to become a minion and gather 10 missiles within 60 seconds and then get to the hangar door. When you’re ready, click the orange start button. You’ll walk into the machine and turn into a cute little minion dude. Run to the right and jump on the platforms to start finding all of the missiles, which are above you. When you get all 10, head for the upper-right corner, where you’ll find the hangar door. Next you’ll play another mini-game where you have to shoot down Vector’s plane. Click the start button when you’re ready. Move with the cursor and shoot with the spacebar. Try to avoid Vector’s rockets and stay away whenever he uses the green shrink ray. When you destroy his ship, you’ve beaten the mission and Gru gives you some great rewards.

Poptropica Cheats for Big Nate Island

Jun25

Yes, I know Big Nate Island has been around for a while, but I never wrote a walkthrough and guide for it. So here, finally, is the one missing walkthrough from this site. Enjoy! Welcome to Big Nate Island, which looks very different from all the other quests in Poptropica. It’s drawn in the style of the Big Nate comic strip by Lincoln Pierce. In Big Nate Island, you’ll help find a time capsule that was hidden a century ago. The time capsule is rumored to have a valuable treasure inside and everyone on the island is searching for it. You’ll help Big Nate uncover the treasure and save the school on the island, which is falling apart. Video Walkthrough Text Walkthrough Once you arrive at Big Nate Island, head to the right and go inside the Comic Book store (called Klassic Komix) and talk with the guy to the right in the tan shirt and blue jeans. He’ll tell you he needs help finding all the missing pieces of a comic. Go outside and walk to the left. Go into the Pop-In Shoppe. You’ll find one of the comic strip pieces on the couch on the top floor of the shop. The first piece of the comic is inside the Pop-In Shoppe. Head outside and run to the right until you get to the photo store. Go inside and you’ll find another comic piece on top of one of the lights to the right. Head back outside and go a few steps to the right. Climb up the telephone pole to the top and you’ll find another piece of the comic. Go to the right until you arrive at the school. It looks pretty broken down and there’s a lot of unfinished construction going on. Go inside the school and walk up the stairs to the right. You’ll find another piece of the comic on one of the broken loudspeakers in the wall. Now go into the Science Lab and walk to the far left of the room. You’ll see a model of the solar system suspended from the ceiling. There’s another piece of the comic up there. Grab it and leave the Science Lab. Go outside the school and then jump up the windowsills. You’ll see some scaffolding to the right and one of the comic pieces is sitting on top of a bile of bricks. Grab it and jump back down. Next, head right to the playground. Jump all the way up to the top of the playground structure and you’ll find a comic piece on the left side. It’s floating around a little bit in the air above the two green and yellow flags. Jump up and grab it. Then jump down off the playground structure. Go right and you’ll arrive in Puffin Point. There’s a lighthouse here. Jump all the way to the top of it and you’ll see another comic piece on the top of the pointed roof. While you’re up here, take a peek through the telescope next to the guy who is painting. Move the telescope to the right until you see a piece of paper trapped between some big rocks. Scroll the telescope to find the paper under the rock. Now jump down on the left side of the lighthouse. As you fall, you’ll see a black and white photograph floating around. Try to grab it. If you miss, climb back up the lighthouse and try again until you get it. Now you have all the comic pieces. Click on the comic book item in your backpack and then re-arrange the pieces so that they all fit in the right order. You’ll see some writing on the edges, and that writing should end up in the middle. Once you’re done, you’ll see that the writing gives out a locker combination, which is: NINE THREE ZERO FIVE (9305). Head back to the left and return to the Comic Shop. Go inside and click on the guy. He’ll be very happy that you found it and will give you some chewing gum as a gift. Leave the Comic shop and go inside the Photo shop again. Talk to the guy on the left and offer to trade the old photograph for his Scuba Gear. Once you have it, leave the shop and head to the right. Go back to the school and go inside. Go into the Science Lab again. This time, click on the burner on top of the desk next to the test tubes. Turn the dial on the burner to 3. Now fill half the beaker with the blue liquid and then half with the yellow liquid. Once the beaker fills up, you’ll gget a stink bomb! Walk outside the lab and go to the left where you’ll see a row of lockers. Click on the one with all the stuff sticking out of it and enter the locker combination from the writing on the comic: 9305. When you open the lock, the locker explodes from all the stuff packed inside and you get knocked down. Walk back over to the locker and pick up the papers that are on the floor. It turns out they’re a school blueprint. Head outside of the science lab into the hallway below. You’ll see a sign that says, No Gum Chewing. Hey, we don’t play by the rules! Open your backpack and use the gum that the comic store guy gave to you. As soon as you blow a bubble, a woman will come out and send you into detention. Use the stinkbomb in your backpack. The detention lady will leave the room because of the bad smell. When she’s gone, go over to the green filing cabinet on the right and click on it to reveal a secret ladder leading down. Click on the ladder to go inside. Climb down the ladder. It’s pretty dark, but there’s a power switch at the bottom of the ladder. Click on it to turn the lights on. Walk to the right and you’ll see a bronze thing hanging on a hook above the workbench. This is the bell clapper for the schoolbell. Grab it and then head back up the ladder. Go outside the school and run all the way to the lighthouse. Walk out onto the dock and put on your Scuba gear. Then jump into the water and click when your cursor says Dive. You’ll be underwater and you have only a little bit of oxygen so you need to move really fast. Just swim all the way to the right and then go straight down. Pick up the lobster trap on the ocean floor and let your oxygen run out. You’ll re-appear at the start and then you just need to swim back up to the dock. When you’re there, give the trap to the sailor at the dock. He’ll give you the lobster that was inside and the keys to his jet ski. Climb back up the lighthouse and use the lobster on the light. It will act as a wrench and turn the light to face the school. This will scare the seagull who is there away. If you haven’t looked through the telescope next to the guy who is painting up here (see above) then look through it now and move it until you see the paper on the rocks. Jump back down and get on the Jet Ski. Big Nate will jump on the other one and challenge you to a race. You need to beat him to the island. The best way to do this is to move as far to the right as possible so that you stay ahead of him and avoid the eggs that the seagull drops. Every few seconds, an obstacle such as a buoy will appear in the water and you’ll need to jump over it to avoid getting knocked down. Since you’re all the way on the right you won’t see the obstacles in time. Just jump up every few seconds and try to get the timing right. New objects in the water appear about every three seconds. Once you beat Nate to the island, jump up on top of the rock and push the two seals over to the left side so that the rock tips up. Jump off and run down below the rock to the piece of paper and grab it. It’s a map to the time capsule! Now run to the school and jump all the way to the bell tower at the top. Open your backpack and use the bell clapper to replace it. This will ring the bell, which sends the girls in the playground back inside. Now run back to the left to the playground and go inside the clubhouse at the top with the “Kids Only” sign. Once you’re inside, click on the piece of paper that says “Go to Jail.” This is a simple hangman game and Big Nate will challenge you to a game. Once you solve the word, he’ll give you some old peanut butter crackers as a prize. Leave the clubhouse and jump straight down. Go to the spot in the middle of the ground where the girls were standing. If you forget where that way, it’s the empty space between the two wooden boards in the middle of the structure. Open your backpack again and use the peanut butter crackers. This will summon the dog and he will dig right where you dropped the cracker. When he digs his hole, the time capsule appears! The dog digs up the time capsule. Click on the time capsule and you’ll zoom on it. Click and drag it to lift it out of the hole, and then click on the yellow latch to open it. You’ll find a pearl inside the time capsule, which is worth enough money to save the school. A newspaper will appear with the story. Click on the close button and the detention lady arrives. She will give you the island medallion. Congratulations! That wraps it up for Big Nate Island. You’ll get 100 credits for finishing it along with your island medal.

Percy Jackson Lightning Thief Ad Walkthrough

Jun23

Poptropica has a brand new advertisement building up. It’s promoting the DVD for the Percy Jackson and the Olympians movie, which is coming out on June 29. You’ll find the building on Main Street on most of the islands as long as your Poptropican meets the age requirements for the ad. It’s a pretty easy quest and there are some really nice rewards. Video Walkthrough Text Walkthrough Don’t forget you can costumize Percy, shaggy hair and all. Head to Main Street on just about any island in Poptropica and go talk to the guy outside the ad building. Then go inside and you’ll meet Percy Jackson. Hey dude! He’ll tell you he needs help finding three items for Zeus, but that the Medusa is causing problems. Go inside the building and you’ll have 30 seconds to find the items. Along the way, you need to watch out for the Medusa. She’ll appear out of nowhere and if you get caught in her gaze, you’ll be turned to stone. Not good! The three items are the winged sneakers in the lower left corner, the shield in the lower right corner, and the bow, which is up above the shield in the upper right corner. After you get all three items, you’ll appear in front of Zeus. Talk to him to claim your rewards which are the Zeus’ Armor outfit and a special Zeus’ Lightning Bolt. Pretty sweet rewards for just collecting three items in thirty seconds! Zeus is looking a lot younger than in Mythology Island You’ll probably notice that this version of Zeus is way younger than the one from Mythology Island. At first when I saw him I did a double-take. I guess in the movie he’s pretty young, but I skipped that one. I read the book but heard the movie was terrible. Haha! I, Hades, now wield Zeus’ power!
