Shoes, Alison’s book, My Poptropican

Oct28

Paten: Hey everyone! I was super pleased with ES’s style post about shoes yesterday. I loved all the shoes and I espeacially  loved shoe number 1 as ES guessed (good guess!). I really don’t know if I’m gonna buy all the shoes with my allowance cause it’s only £127. I got three words for the post yesterday. Sparkly, Cool and Awesome! By the way, Alison sent me the first chapter of her book and I thought it was awesome! You should read it! I’m on Super Power Island and I’m trying to defeat Crasher. He’s one angry poptropican. Anyway there was this super stange glitch, I went on my inventory and it said I had no items when I did collect some items and then my character clicked from my girl to a boy with bushy hair!! I’m just gonna see if the glitch has been fixed.                                                                           Paten

Poptropica Halloween Event

Oct26

I wasn’t planning on writing an extra post, but I guess I have to. Poptropica have released a special quest especially for Halloween. Let me again complain about the ‘Limited Time Only’ idea that Poptropica has adopted. … Ok done. To get to the Haunted House get into the nearest hot air balloon and click the new button in the lower left corner. You really can’t miss it. You’ll then get transported to a graveyard. Or, rather, into a graveyard. You rise from a grave when you get there, which is pretty cool, except for the fact that you took a hot air balloon to get there… Apart from that lapse in realism, it’s an alright quest. Better than most of the advertisement buildings. It’s kind of tricky, so here’s a guide: Climb to the top of the house, You’ll probably have seen a bat flying around with a key. At the top, it’s pretty easy to catch him and get the key. The key is used to open a padlock on the cellar entrance, which is to the left of the house. You’re Poptropican chickens out, but click it again to force him inside. Inside the basement there are a couple of spiders which hit you backwards if you touch off them. Go over to the floating pipes, and connect them all to fix the boiler. Jump on the steam coming out of it to be pushed upwards. Time it right and you’ll be able to grab that bottle of poison on the shelf. What a lovely thing to put in a children’s game… Go upstairs to where the two knight figures are standing. See the dude with the ice pick? Jump on his head to get it off him. Go back downstairs to the kitchen and open the fridge. Click on the ice inside to scrape some off with your handy ice pick. Now go back upstairs to the bedroom. The phone will tell you to make both the clocks on the mantlepiece chime 12 at the same time. Hover your mouse over one to make it go faster. Get both of them to hit 12 o’clock at the same time to complete the puzzle. Collect the lantern that falls down the chimney and go into the dining room across the hall. (Watch your head.) Click on the spider on the ground to frighten the painting a floor below. She’ll drop her broom. Go jump on top of it and fly up  to the dining room again. There’s a hole in the roof leading to the attic.  At the far side of the attic you’ll find a chest with yet another padlock. Another puzzle. The skull picture on the padlock gets mixed up and you need to fix it. Just remember the order and you’ll have no trouble. If you make a mess of it you can start over with the restart button. Grab the chalice that comes out and head back down to the cellar. Find a box of kerosene under the stairs and use it to light your lantern. Go back upstairs to the ground floor, and enter the sitting room. You’ll see a ghost cat. It will tell you to “bring the treasures to where the cherub cries”. The cherub is that crying angel you saw in the graveyard. Go back outside via the cellar entrance and head back over to the graveyard. To the right of the cherub you’ll see a freshly dug grave. Yes, you have to go into it. You end up in a musty old tomb. Go talk to the witch. She’ll thank you for bringing them light and the punch for the party. She’ll give you 50 credits to buy…. well, not a whole lot. If you have some leftover credits from another island you might be able to get a costume. I got a sea monster one. Congratulations, you’re done! No medal, but the 50 credits is a pretty good reward. Better than stupid logo shirts that disappear, or some Costumizable clothes that eventually get overwritten by quest items or cooler stuff. Whenever you’re finished Costumizing the guests’ clothes and bouncing the balloons around head back outside. (You can’t drink any of the pirate juice though, because i’s not meant for the “living”.) When you want to go somewhere else head back over to the grave you came out of at the start to bring up the map. Some pictures: Talking to a dead cat… Click to enlarge. Mingling with the dead at The Ghoul’s Gala. Click to enlarge. My other character dressed for Halloween. Don’t bother clicking, he’s meant to be that small. The bat with the key. In other news: I haven’t had this section on a post in ages . What are you doing for Halloween? I’m not going trick-or-treating. (I’ll buy my own damn sweets, thank you very much.) I think I’ll stay at home and watch a scary movie. Any suggestions for what I should watch? …….Hi. That’s all for now!  I’m hoping to have another post before the end of the week. Also have a look at my Chicken Smoothie Halloween post if you haven’t already. -legoless

Decisions, Money, Poptropica and Poptropican accounts

Oct26

Paten: Hi everyone! It’s Paten here! Alison said that she is gonna write her story so I am writing this post. Me, ES and Alison made a decision. We felt that the 9 days of fun are getting quite boring so we are letting you all enjoy the last 7 days. That still means no uniform though!!! I just chucked away my uniform along with all the garbage. My dad gave me an 1 hour lecture for throwing away my uniform and he told me recently to find my uniform which means touching garbage and everything. Gross! I was so grateful for the bath I had afterwards. Anyway I now have more money than I usually have thanks to chores and all my birthday money. My mum tripled the amount of pocket money I had so now i have approxomately £109! Lucky me!! Tommorow my mum’s friend gonna ask me to babysit her 2 year old son AND she will pay me £18 which means I’ll get 127 quid altogether! Alison managed to get me hooked into playing poptropica, some game she’s playing. My poptropican is Invisible Paw. Luckily I’m pretty good at it and I completed 4 islands in 2 days! 2 days!! That should be a record… NOT! I got 400 credits… as soon as I get 800 credits I might get an multiverse room and throw a BIG party. Obviously all Alison fans are invited… I’ll give you all my room code and I’ll tell you all what time it’s gonna start and end. I live in the UK. We might have a costume party or something. I got a file of poptropicans, each of them got an handheld item like a mobile phone or basketball. If you would like one of the cool poptropicans then email Alison and then she will email me and I will give you a poptropican!! My character has light blonde hair, a purple shirt with some symbol and a pleated skirt.                                                  Paten

New Poptropica Halloween Costumes

Oct26

There are some brand new Halloween costumes in the Poptropica store, along with two new store items called Silly Streams and Followers Spook Pack . Here’s all the details on the cool new stuff that you can get in the Poptropica Store. New Halloween Costumes Girls have a few choices, including the creepy countess, swamp monster, and werewolf girl outfit. All of the costumes cost 75 credits. Boys can only get the werewolf boy and the swamp monster outfits. The costumes cost 75 credits. Followers Spook Pack The followers spook pack is a new collection of followers, which will follow your character around in Poptropica. The new pack includes a ghost, a bat, a skull and a jack-o-lantern. Spooky! Silly Streams Silly Streams is a can of colorful strings that shoot out and cover things in your path. It’s just like Silly String in real life. This is one of the most fun items to come out of the Poptropica store in a while. It costs a hefty 250 credits, but it’s worth it!

The Multiverse Project, an Ad, and new Store items!

Oct24

I’m posting from my “Coderkid” account instead. (Motionman95 has changed his WordPress account to ”Coderkid”. They’re the same person.) First of all, hello again Poptropicans! (Man, I really new to come up with better introductions for my posts… :/) Anyway, there are 2 new developments in Poptropica: New “Ice Age 3″ Ads on the side of Poptropica New Store items “Silly String”, “Followers: Spook Pack”, Werewolves, Creepy Countess, and Swamp Monster costumes! Silly String , is basically a canister (like on the fire fighter costume) that sprays..well, silly string, duh! It’s very useful for PWNing people in Multiverse rooms! The “Followers: Spook Pack” is basically a different version of the original, including pets such as a ghost, pumpkin, skull, and bat. I think it’ll probably be a “limited time” item. Meanwhile, the other Follower item has been renamed to ”Followers: Classic Pack.” The new costumes , Swamp Monster and Werewolf Boy, are both scary. Swamp Monster is basically a fishy looking dude, whereas Werewolf Boy is doggy dude, with killer teeth. “Good boy” – I think not. Only girls get access to the Werewolf Girl and Creepy Countess costumes. I have the Silly String, and I must say it compliments my outfit! Take a look, and tell me what you think: Clickey! I’m not sure myself, but I think I was aiming for a “tagger” type theme. Here’s a picture from the Poptropica Creators’ Blog showing off the ‘frightening’ new items! Let us let the fun begin at the Ghoul’s Gala at the Haunted House! Throw the colorful streamers at the evil monsters and get your little floating skull friend to follow ya. And in other developments, The Multiverse Project has been released! With this awesome online tool, you’ll be able to submit your Multiverse room codes or view a list of currently open ones. Find your favorite hangout spot and rock out with friends! Can you believe it? After all this time…it’s finally here. Be the first to try it out. Enter The Multiverse Project. I’d love your feedback on it! Don’t forget to look at the post below and read about the Ice Age Ad quest!

Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs Ad Mission

Oct22

There’s another new advertisement mission in Poptropica called Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs. In this mission, you have 90 seconds to help Scrat find twenty acorns. The acorns are scattered around in a small room, but you need to jump around on a lot of very tall cliffs and platforms to get them all. It might take a few tries to get all the acorns in time. You can find the ad entrance in Early Poptropica on Main Street, over to the right hand side where you usually see all of the ad missions. Good luck! I will post a video walkthrough very shortly on Youtube that helps you find all the acorns in time.
